A good graphic tee should look as sharp on its fiftieth wash as it did on its first. The print outlives the trend, but only if you treat it right. Here is exactly how to keep your Storyteller tees looking new.
1. Always Wash Inside Out
This is the single most important rule. Turning the tee inside out keeps the print away from the drum and other clothes, so the design faces no friction. One small habit, years of extra life.
2. Cold Water Only
Hot water loosens fibres and fades prints fast. Wash in cold water to protect both the colour of the fabric and the crispness of the graphic.
3. Skip the Harsh Detergents and Bleach
Bleach and strong detergents eat into printed designs. Use a mild, colour-safe detergent, and never pour it directly onto the print.
4. Gentle Cycle, Light Spin
A gentle machine cycle or a soft hand-wash does far less damage than an aggressive spin. Your tee is not a pair of jeans, treat it a little more kindly.
5. Dry in the Shade
Direct sun is a colour-killer. Dry your tees inside out in the shade to stop both the fabric and the print from fading. In Kolkata humidity, a breezy balcony beats harsh afternoon sun every time.
6. Iron Around the Print, Never On It
Direct heat can crack or melt a print. Iron the tee inside out, or simply iron around the design. If you must go over it, place a thin cloth in between.
